Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Ustad360 (www.ustad360.com) collects when you visit the website, how that information is used, which third parties are involved, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain language. If anything is unclear, please contact us.

Who we are

Ustad360 is an educational website for students in Pakistan. We publish study resources such as textbooks, notes, past papers, pairing schemes and exam result information. In this policy, “Ustad360”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the team that runs www.ustad360.com, and “you” means anyone who visits the site.

You do not need an account to use Ustad360, and we do not sell anything on the website.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Comments. When you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and (optional) website you enter, the comment itself, and your IP address and browser details, which help us detect spam. Your name and comment are shown publicly once approved. Your email address is never shown publicly.
  • Post ratings. If you rate a page with the star rating tool, we store the rating and basic technical data used to prevent the same visitor from voting repeatedly.
  • Messages. If you email us or contact us through the channels on our Contact page, we receive your name, contact details and whatever you choose to write.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers and service providers automatically record technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, the pages you open, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. We use this to keep the site secure, fix problems and understand which resources are useful.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Ustad360 and the third parties listed in this policy use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and pixels) for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies keep the website working and secure. For example, our security and content delivery provider, Cloudflare, may set cookies that help tell real visitors apart from automated traffic, and WordPress sets cookies to remember the details you entered when you left a comment.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are visited most and how people arrive here. We use Google Analytics for this (see below).
  • Advertising cookies are used by advertising partners such as Google to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance and, where permitted, show ads based on your interests (see below).

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers also let you block third-party cookies only. If you block essential cookies, some parts of the site, such as leaving a comment, may not work properly.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to measure traffic and improve the website. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, and your approximate location (city or country level). We use these reports only in aggregate; we do not use Google Analytics to identify individual visitors.

You can learn how Google uses this information at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. To stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits on any website, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising and Google AdSense

Advertising helps us keep Ustad360 free for students. Ads shown on Ustad360 may be served by Google AdSense and other third-party advertising partners. We do not let advertisers see your comments or messages, and we do not sell your personal information.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of personalised advertising from many other vendors at www.aboutads.info or, if you are in Europe, at www.youronlinechoices.eu.
  • If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be less related to your interests.

For more details, see how Google uses cookies in advertising. Where the law requires it (for example, for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), we will ask for your consent before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used.

Embedded content from other websites

Some pages include content embedded from other websites, such as PDF documents shown through Google Drive or Google Docs viewers, videos from YouTube, or forms from Google Forms. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website. Those websites may collect data about you, set cookies and track your interaction with the embedded content under their own privacy policies.

How we use information

  • To run, maintain and secure the website and protect it against spam, abuse and attacks.
  • To publish and moderate comments and to reply to your questions and messages.
  • To understand which resources students find useful so we can improve and update our content.
  • To show advertising that helps keep the website free.
  • To meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on your consent for analytics and advertising cookies where consent is required, and on our legitimate interest in running a secure, useful website for everything else.

When we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only in these cases:

  • Service providers who help us run the website, such as our web hosting provider, Cloudflare (security and content delivery), Google (analytics, advertising and email) and anti-spam tools. They process information on our behalf or under their own privacy policies.
  • Legal reasons, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, a court order or a government authority, or is needed to protect the rights, safety or property of our visitors or of Ustad360.

Some of these providers are based outside Pakistan, so your information may be processed in other countries.

How long we keep information

  • Approved comments and their details are kept for as long as the comment is published. Comments marked as spam are deleted.
  • Emails and messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request.
  • Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, after which Google deletes it.
  • Server and security logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.

Your choices and rights

  • Control or delete cookies in your browser, and use the opt-out links in the analytics and advertising sections above.
  • Ask us to edit or delete a comment you posted, or any personal information you sent us.
  • Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in Europe and the UK, or under California privacy law), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, or to withdraw consent at any time.

To make a request, email us at [email protected]. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you, and we aim to reply within 30 days.

Children’s privacy

Ustad360 is used by students of many ages, often together with parents and teachers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and you do not need to give any personal information to read or download our resources. We ask children not to share personal details, such as phone numbers or roll numbers, in comments. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has shared personal information with us, please email us and we will remove it.

Security

The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and protected by security measures such as firewall rules and login protection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect the information we hold.

Links to other websites

Our pages link to other websites, such as the official websites of education boards. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites, so please read their privacy policies when you visit them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, services or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
