About Class 1 Punjab textbooks

Class 1 is the first year of primary school in Punjab. It is the year children move from the picture primers of Pre-1 to a full set of subject books. The books are published by the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB), Lahore, which has been part of the Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA) since June 2024. The editions listed here were written for the Single National Curriculum (SNC).

Which edition should you use?

Schools sometimes keep an older print for a year or two, so the book list your school gives you is the final word. If a book or edition you need is missing, tell us through the contact page.
