What the book teaches
Akhlaqiat does not teach a particular religion. It focuses on values that every child is expected to learn at school and at home: respect for parents and teachers, honesty, sharing, kindness to others and to animals, cleanliness, and looking after the things around us. Each lesson uses short stories and pictures that end with a simple question or activity, so children can talk about what the right thing to do would be.
Using the book at home
- Ask “what would you do?” After each story, let your child suggest an answer before reading the lesson’s message.
- Notice good behaviour. When your child shares or tells the truth, link it back to the lesson they read.
- Keep it short. One story a day is plenty at this age.
Other Class 1 books
Muslim students study Class 1 Islamiat instead of this book. The other Class 1 subjects are Urdu, English, Maths and General Knowledge. See all Class 1 Punjab textbooks.
