Top Websites for MDCAT 2027 Preparation: Free and Paid Options
Best Websites for MDCAT Entry Test Resources

MDCAT 2026 is over: the test was held on 20 September 2026 and results have been announced. If you are now starting your preparation for MDCAT 2027, this page lists the websites that are actually worth your time, starting with the official sources and then the free and paid practice platforms. We checked every site on this list in October 2026 and wrote down what each one is good for, what is free and what is paid, so you can pick two or three and stop jumping between dozens of tabs.
We are not paid by any of these websites and none of the links below are affiliate links.
MDCAT at a glance (what we know for 2027)
PMDC has not yet announced the date, syllabus or registration schedule for MDCAT 2027. Until it does, the best guide is how the 2026 test was run:
| Conducted by | Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), through nominated public universities in each region |
| MDCAT 2026 test date | 20 September 2026 (moved from 16 August 2026 by a PMDC notice dated 6 August 2026) |
| Candidates in 2026 | About 138,000 registered nationwide, as reported on test day |
| Paper | 180 MCQs: Biology 81, Chemistry 45, Physics 36, English 9, Logical Reasoning 9 |
| Syllabus | PMDC’s 2025 MDCAT curriculum was applied to MDCAT 2026. Any change for 2027 will come in a new PMDC notice. |
| Qualifying marks (2026) | 55% for MBBS and 50% for BDS, as applied in the UHS result |
| MDCAT 2027 date | Not announced yet. Check pmdc.pk for the official notice. |
Two changes for 2027 have been reported in the news but are not final yet. Federal officials have said future MDCATs should be held soon after the FSc results to speed up admissions, and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved a plan for ETEA to hold the MDCAT in KP from 2027. Treat both as “wait for the official notice” items.
How we chose these websites
- Live and updated: each site was online in October 2026 and has MDCAT material for the current syllabus.
- Clear about what is free: we say plainly when a site is paid or only partly free.
- No copied paid books: we leave out sites whose main offer is scanned copies of academies’ paid books. Some older sites from earlier versions of this list were dropped for this reason, or because their MDCAT material had not been updated in years.
Official sources (check these first)
1. PMDC (pmdc.pk)
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council is the body that sets the MDCAT. Everything that decides your exam comes from here: the syllabus, the test date, registration, fees and the qualifying marks. For example, the 2026 date change was published as a PMDC public notice. If a blog or a WhatsApp forward says something different from PMDC, believe PMDC.
Use it for: the official MDCAT 2027 syllabus as soon as it is released, the registration schedule and any rule changes.
2. UHS Lahore (uhs.edu.pk)
The University of Health Sciences, Lahore conducts the MDCAT in Punjab. For 2026 it published the MDCAT-2026 Essentials guide with exam-day instructions, released answer keys for all paper codes after the test, and announced the result on 24 September 2026. UHS also keeps earlier MDCAT papers and guides in its downloads section. Its own guide notes that UHS does not endorse any commercial preparation course or material, which is a useful reminder when you read academy adverts.
Use it for: real past papers and official answer keys, and the exam-day rules (what you may bring, reporting time, how the answer sheet works).
Students in other provinces should also follow the university that conducts the test in their region, because centres, admit cards and results are handled there.
Free websites for past papers and MCQ practice
3. MDCAT Guide (mdcatguide.com)
MDCAT Guide is a free site focused on MDCAT and NUMS. Its strongest section is past papers: solved MDCAT papers from 2008 onwards, UHS papers and NUMS papers with answer keys. It also has pages on books, registration and the syllabus. Some date and registration pages still show older information, so use it for papers, not for news.
Best for: downloading past papers year by year. Cost: free.
4. MDCAT Papers (mdcatpapers.com)
MDCAT Papers lets you solve past papers online instead of reading PDFs, with a written explanation for each question. It also has subject-wise and chapter-wise MCQs for all five MDCAT subjects and a merit calculator. Free accounts can attempt 20 questions a day. The site is open about the fact that its answer keys are not yet verified, so cross-check any answer that looks wrong against the official key.
Best for: daily online practice with explanations. Cost: mostly free, with a daily limit.
5. Parhlai (parhlai.com)
Parhlai offers a free MDCAT practice test that you can attempt without signing up, plus a blog with a subject-wise syllabus breakdown and notes on which past papers exist for each year. The main question bank is a paid product.
Best for: a quick, no-signup test to see where you stand. Cost: free test, paid full access.
6. Taleem360 (taleem360.com)
Taleem360 is a free online PDF library for Pakistani students, with textbooks, notes and past papers. For MDCAT it is most useful for getting the FSc Biology, Chemistry and Physics textbooks that the test is built on, so you can read a chapter before practising its MCQs.
Best for: FSc textbooks and notes in PDF. Cost: free.
Free video lectures for concepts
7. Sabaq.pk
Sabaq.pk is run by the Sabaq Foundation, a non-profit trust founded in 2012. It has more than 18,000 free video lectures and tests for classes KG to 14, including FSc Biology, Chemistry and Physics for the different boards. It is not an MDCAT course, but MDCAT questions are built on the FSc syllabus, so these videos are a good way to fix a weak chapter before you move on to MCQs.
Best for: understanding FSc concepts you never really learned. Cost: free.
A simple routine works well: watch one chapter’s lectures, then attempt that chapter’s MCQs the same day.
Paid platforms with some free material
These are full online academies. You do not need them to pass MDCAT, but many students like the structure, the full-length mock tests and the progress tracking. Try the free parts first and pay only if you will really use it. Prices change often, so check the site itself before you pay.
8. Maqsad (maqsad.io)
Maqsad is an app and website with recorded lectures, live classes, a question bank with explanations and weekly tests for MDCAT. It offers a free trial and some free tests and past papers inside the app. Its MDCAT book and full courses are paid.
9. PreMed.pk
PreMed.pk is mainly a large online question bank built from past papers of the national MDCAT, NUMS, UHS, AKU and other tests, with full-length practice tests. Access is paid; it usually offers a free mock or trial so you can see the format first.
10. Mentr (mentr.pk)
Mentr offers concept lectures, practice questions, tests, its own “Master Books” and a paid MDCAT Kit with access until the exam. Its blog has free study plans, such as a four-month MDCAT plan, which are useful even if you never buy anything.

How to use these websites for MDCAT 2027
- Start from the syllabus, not from a website. Print the PMDC syllabus and tick off topics as you finish them. Until the 2027 syllabus is out, the 2025 curriculum used for 2026 is the safest guide.
- Give Biology the most time. It carried 81 of 180 marks in 2026, close to half the paper. Chemistry (45) and Physics (36) come next; English and Logical Reasoning are 9 each but easy marks if you practise.
- Learn the concept, then drill MCQs. Read the chapter from your textbook or a Sabaq.pk video, then solve chapter-wise MCQs the same day.
- Solve real past papers under time. Use UHS papers and MDCAT Guide or MDCAT Papers for full papers, one sitting each, and mark yourself honestly.
- Check answer keys. Unofficial keys sometimes have mistakes. When you disagree with a key, look it up in the textbook or the official key.
- Keep one main resource per job. One place for MCQs, one for videos, one for mock tests. Collecting PDFs is not the same as preparing.
For practice with real questions, use the official past papers and answer keys that the conducting university publishes after each MDCAT.
Frequently asked questions
When will MDCAT 2027 be held?
PMDC has not announced it yet. MDCAT 2026 was held on 20 September 2026, and officials have said future tests should come soon after the FSc results, so the 2027 date may be different. Wait for the PMDC notice.
Will the MDCAT 2027 syllabus change?
We do not know yet. PMDC used its 2025 curriculum for MDCAT 2026. Prepare from that, and compare it with the 2027 syllabus when PMDC publishes it.
What are the passing marks for MDCAT?
For MDCAT 2026 the qualifying marks were 55% for MBBS and 50% for BDS. Passing only makes you eligible to apply; the merit for a seat is calculated separately and is usually much higher than the passing mark.
Can I prepare for MDCAT without joining an academy?
Yes. The official syllabus, your FSc textbooks, free concept videos and plenty of timed past papers cover what the test asks. Paid platforms add structure and mock tests, which some students find worth the cost.
Are these websites official?
Only PMDC and the conducting universities, such as UHS, are official. All the other websites on this page are independent and not connected with PMDC.
